ARCOLA - Funeral services for Robert J. Cook, 74, of Chandler Heights, Ariz., formerly of Arcola, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust St., Arcola. The Rev. Margaret Misal will officiate.

Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery.

Visitation will be for one hour before the services Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cook died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 1, 1996) at the Companion Care Adult Living Facility, Queen Creek, Ariz.

He was born March 221922, at Galton, a son of John F. and Gail Bonner Cook. He married Dixie Ternes on Sept. 5, 1942, at Arcola. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Marshall Cook of Mesa, Ariz., Michael Cook of Chandler Heights, Ariz., and Robert Cook of Rochester, N.Y.; a daughter, Kristi Cook Tefft of Philadelphia, Pa.; two brothers, Jack Cook of Champaign and Thomas Cook of Bourbon; four sisters, Dorothy Pedigo of Arcola, Lois Henley of Loda, Shirley Williams of Champaign, and Betty Ross of Royal; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Cook was a retired car wash manager. He graduated from Arcola High School in 1940 and played on the school football teams in 1939 and 1940. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces in World War II.
