Henrietta K. Reis Foerster was born March 24, 1894, in Illinois, the sixth of seven children of Joseph A. Reis (1861–1931) and Margaret Muno Reis (ABT 1865 - AFT 1940). She married Urban Michael Foerster on June 9, 1920, in Evanston, Illinois. They had two sons. She died November 13, 1988, in Tryon, North Carolina. Her death record states that she was cremated in that state; however, she has a marker in St. Henry Cemetery in Chicago between her husband and her brother Arthur J. Reis (1892-1908).
