Osborn Sylvester Bell, 77, president of the Citizen's bank of Mt. Blanchard and active in various civic enterprises, died at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning following a short illness of heart disease.

Mr. Bell at the time of his death was also president of the Jackson-Delaware-Amanda Mutual Insurance company, treasurer of the village and a former member of the town council. He served as treasurer of the Methodist Protestant church of which he was a member.

The time of the funeral has not been set. Rev. Folts, of Mt. Blanchard, will officiate, however, and burial will be in Mt. Blanchard cemetery.

Mr. Bell was born in Delaware township 77 years ago on Oct. 17. He was united in marriage Oct. 28, 1875 to Virginia Katherine Elder who died July 16, 1888. Eight children were born to this union, five dying in infancy. Three daughter surviving are Mrs. Ortha McKitrick, of Cleveland; Mrs. Addie Bishop, of Findlay, and Mrs. Lulu Bishop, of Findlay.

On Jan 13, 1893, Mr. Bell married Blanche Alice Hickle, who survives, together with a sister, Mrs. John Phelps, Wharton. There are twenty grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
