Resident of Pittsburg Marie was born and raised in Pittsburg, California. Her skills were many. She was an excellent seamstress, knitter and fantastic Italian cook. Her great cooking was what made her life as a resturanteer so very successful.

Working side by side with her beloved husband, Peter, together they owned many businesses. Their last endeavor, The Diablo Inn, located on Railroad Ave. in Pittsburg was a favorite eatery of locals. Later renamed Snooker Pete's Bar and Grille after her late husband. Marie will always be remembered as a good friend to her card playing croanies, Ann Russo, Mary Enea Lupi, Antoinette Beck, Pat Cataldo and the late Marie Davi. Marie would tell wonderful stories about her extensive travel adventures. She loved music and dancing, enjoyed plays and the opera as well as going to Bingo. Marie's favorite past time was reading. She would read a book a day from mysteries and westerns to autobiographies and love stories.

Marie was the daughter of Salvatore and Frances Russo, as well as the sister to Peter, Neno, Frank and Vincent Russo, Helen Russo, Ethel Pareno, Frances Paniaqua, Angie Paniaqua and Rose Bartimioli. She was also the sister-in-law to Elaine Aiello of Monterey, California.

She is leaving behind her son and daughter-in-law, her daughter and son-in-law, granddaughters, her only grandson and great grandchildren.

Her family will be eternally grateful to her loving caregivers as well as her devoted nephew.
