Ethel passed away in Palm Springs.
She was born to Frances Castanza Russo and Salvatore Russo on October 10, 1915. She married Frank Pareno Jr. on February 28, 1935.
She worked many years for Dominic's Hardware and McKell's Drug Store. She was a member of Catholic Daughters and Young Lady Institute. She was a graduate of Pittsburg High School where she played basketball and softball.
Ethel and her husband Frank moved to Yuma, AZ. People in Yuma remember Ethel for her volunteer work at the hospital and her participation in many plays or with her husband out dancing. Ethel then moved back to Pittsburg at Stonemen Village.
She is survived by her son and daughter; sisters and brothers ; granddaugher and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Frank Pareno Jr; brothers Nino and Peter Russo; sisters Helen Russo, Frances Paniagua and Rose Bartimelio. Services will be held on April 13, at 10am at Good Shepherd Church.
