He attended North Paris elementary and West Paris High School*.

He had lived in North Paris, ME all of his life.

He worked for Stowell's Wood Products in Bryant Pond, ME for many years until it's closing. He then worked for C.F. Wells in Buckfield, ME.

He was a member of AVCOG. In May he was elected President of Oxford County Municipal Office Association. He was a Selectman for the Town of West Paris, ME for over four years, President of the West Paris Historical Society, President of the Mollyocket Sportsmans Club, President of the Old Home Days and Derby Track, Tri-Town Ambulance as a paramedic, President of the North Paris Cemetery Association, former West Paris Fire Department member and former Town Constable.

He is survived by his wife Faye of North Paris, ME; a stepson Bobby; five sisters Rebecca Stevens of West Paris, ME; Phyllis Morrison of Rumford, ME; Mary Jane Ames and her husband John of Gorham, NH; Edna Proctor of West Paris, ME; Betty Jones and her husband Ted of West Paris, ME; a brother Howard of Albany, ME.

He is predeceased by his parents and a brother James.
