Faye attended Mechanic Falls schools and graduated from Mechanic Falls High School. She worked and lived in New Hampshire for 10 years before moving back home in 1978. She worked at Wilner Wood Products.
She met her husband through a friend and married Harlan E. Abbott on June 24, 1983. They had 20 loving years together before he died in September 2003 in a plane crash. They both worked at C.F. Wells in Buckfield until he retired and she took sick, they are together again.
She was a member and treasurer of the West Paris Historical Society and the West Paris Tri-Town Auxiliary. She was a member of the West Paris Baptist Church. She was a member and past worthy matron of Granite Chapter 115 and Dwinal Chapter 28 of West Paris and Mechanic Falls, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her six brothers, Alvin Newton, and his girlfriend, Vicki, of Auburn, Clarence, and his wife, Shirley, Richard, and his wife, Trudy, all of Oxford, Leon, and his wife, Linda, of Mechanic Falls, Donald, and his wife, Carol, of South Paris and Kenneth Newton of Mechanic Falls; also cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; and her husband, Harlan.
