ORANGEBURG _- Carol Jeffords Cannon, died Thursday morning at The Oaks. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Henry Cooper officiating. Family will receive friends after the gravesideside service. Mrs. Cannon was born in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late Milton Kennedy Jeffords and Frances Kinard Jeffords. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. Mrs. Cannon enjoyed competitive Bridge and her involvement with the Orangeburg Assembly. She was predeceased by a daughter, Caroline "Missy" Cannon Smoak and was the widow of Robert Edward "Bob" Cannon Sr. Mrs. Cannon is survived by a son, Robert E. Cannon Jr., of Columbia; grandchildren, Caroline S. Farmer and husband, Justin and Robert Marston Smoak, all of St. Matthews, and Robert E. Cannon III and Adelaide Grace Cannon, both of Columbia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
