Orangeburg - Milton K. "Mitt" Jeffords III, 56, died Sunday at Orangeburg Regional Hospital. Born in Columbia, he was a son of Mrs. Frances Earle Jeffords and the late Milton K. Jeffords Jr. He was a graduate of The Citadel and a World War II veteran. Mr. Jeffords was an insurance broker. Surviving are his mother of Orangeburg; his widow, Mrs. Lois Tulluck Jeffords; three sons, M. K. Jeffords IV of Mount Pleasant, John P. Jeffords of Little River and Lawrence E. Jeffords of Orangeburg; two stepsons, William Brooks and John M. Ruple Jr. of Orangeburg; a sister, Mrs. Robert E. Cannon of Orangeburg; and two grandchildren. © The State, Columbia, SC, 9 Oct 1979
