Phyllis Beebe, 84, died Monday in Westminster Village.
She was a Muncie native but had lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, Lansing, Mich., and in England while her husband, Joseph, was employed by Cincinnati Milacron and its predecessor, Cincinnati Milling Machine Co., as a field representative. She had lived in Riley Towers, Indianapolis, for many years before returning to Muncie 10 years ago.
She graduated from Muncie High School in 1923 and from Ball Teachers College, Indiana State Normal School (now Ball State University). At one time she taught at Jefferson Elementary School.
She is survived by a sister, Ruth Sutton Whinrey, Indianapolis, and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband and a sister, Bonita Bernard, are deceased.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel.
