Julia Ann Crisp is the daughter of Joseph Albert Crisp and Emma Stanfield. She married Oscar Cyrus Arnold on 22 December 1898 in Macon County, North Carolina.

Mrs. Julia Ann Crisp Arnold, 93, of Route 5, Cullasaja Community, died Thursday, September 7, in a Sylva hospital after an illness of two weeks. A native of Macon County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Stanfield Crisp and was married to Oscar C. Arnold, who survives. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary on Christmas Day, 1971.
Funeral services were held Friday, September 8, in Sugarfork Baptist Church of which she was a member, and burial was in the church cemetery. Officiating ministers were the Rev. James Carpenter and the Rev. Robin Hurley and grandsons served as pallbearers.
Surviving, in addition to the husband, are five sons, Lex, Fred M., Roy, and Alex Arnold, all of Franklin, and Lester Arnold of Cherokee; three daughters, Mrs. Harry Womack, Mrs. Wiley Clark and Mrs. Leonard Holland, all of Franklin; 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Bryant Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
