COLORADO CITY ~~ Funeral for Mrs. Laura L. Clevenger, 78, a resident here since 1935, was to be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Kiker and Son Chapel in Colorado City.

The Rev. Caddo Mathews, pastor of the Plainview Baptist Church was to officiate. Burial was to be in the Colorado City Cemetery.

Mrs. Clevenger died in Root Memorial Hospital Sunday after a long illness.

Born February 10, 1890 in Little River County, Arkansas, she married Albert A. Clevenger September 7, 1907 in Foreman, Arkansas. Mr. Clevenger died in 1955.

Survivors include one son, Clyde C. Clevenger of Andrews; six daughters, Mrs. Shim Swann, Mrs. Clyde Buckalew, Mrs. Tom C. Smith, and Mrs. Pat Moore all of Colorado City, Mrs. Dorothy Ansley of Odessa and Mrs. Paul Vaughn of Big Spring; two brothers, Cliff Golden of Dallas and R.B. Golden of Colorado City; a sister, Mrs. Carl Pheneger of Hanford, California; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
