Clyde J. Clevenger, age 84, of Andrews, died Sun , Nov. 14, 1999 in Andrews
Health Care Center. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tues., Nov 16, 1999 in
Calvary Baptist Church with Ministers Mike Henson, pastor of Calvary Baptist
and H A. Hanks, pastor of First Baptist, officiating. Burial followed in the
Andrews West Cemetery, under the direction of McNctt Funeral Home.

Clyde was born Oct. 19, 1915 in Foreman, Arkansas. He married Jada Faye
Mize on April 20, 1940 in Mitchell County, Texas They lived in New Mexico
before moving to Andrews in 1951. Clyde established Clyde’s Refrigeration and
Heating Co. in 1958 and retired in 1976. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist
Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jada of Andrews, two sons, Charles Clevenger and
Jay Clevenger, both of Andrews; one daughter, Janice Matthews of Andrews, two
sisters, Addie Swann and Beatrice Smith, both of Colorado City; eight
grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
