Obituary: Mrs. Nancy Clark died last Tuesday afternoon (Dec. 20, 1881) at the residence of James Bushnell at the remarkable age of 92 years and 8 months. She was born in Bennington, Vermont, and came from Oneida County, NY, to Kendall County more than forty years ago. She has always been vigorous in mind and body, and was unusually smart and apparently healthy up to within a few hours of her death. She retired as usual Monday evening and late in the night her daughter, Mrs. Bushnell, was called to her by a groan. She then complained of great distress in her head. Shortly after she became unconscious, and remained so until three o'clock the next day, when her tired and worn body yielded up its weary soul. Grandma Clark was well loved by all who knew the kindly old lady, and there were many. Her body was laid at rest Thursday, Rev. Mr. Kinney officiating. This wonderful achievement of longevity was no doubt the result of a pure and simple life, a life well studied, and entirely free from extravagant tastes and frivolous perversions. Very few attain such an age. Kendall County Record Dec. 22, 1881
Nancy Chandler is a descendant of William and Annis Chandler of Roxbury, Massachusetts. The Chandler Family: the Descendants of William and Annis Chandler who settled in Roxbury, Massachusettes, 1637 by George Chandler
