Dorothy Maxine Gwinn Bailey, age 86, of Lockney, passed away on November 2, 2011.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Lockney Cemetery in Lockney. Arrangements were under the direction of the Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Lockney.

Dorothy was born on March 4, 1925 in Lincoln, Arkansas to Richard A. and Ola Mae (Long) Gwinn.

Dorothy loved going to church, quilting, and canning. Dorothy's house was the family headquarters for holiday celebrations.

She is preceded in death by her husband Guin Bailey; two brothers, Howard Gwinn and Edwin Gwinn; and two sons, James Bailey and Carl Bailey.

She is survived by a son, Glenn Bailey of Floydada; two daughters, Linda Bailey and Quinda Emert of Lockney, 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and a sister, Gloria Lee and her husband, Alvis of Spur.
