Bert Zane Adams, Ponca City OK resident, died October 23, 2006, at Integris Baptist Burn Center in Oklahoma City. He was 79 years of age. Bert was born on June 22, 1927, in Stillwater OK to Fred and Alta (Bunney) Adams.

He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. On December 15, 1952, Bert married Isabell Stigall in Ponca City. Bert was a farmer and rancher and retired from the City of Ponca City in 1989 as a steam operator. He enjoyed farming and shooting pool. He was a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Isabell of Ponca City; daughters Cindy Montes and husband Gustavo of Ponca City, Kathy Westcott and husband Kevin, Ellen Murray and husband Kirvin, Sr., of Ponca City; sons Sam Adams and wife Alene of Marland OK, Fred Adams and wife Valerie of Ponca City, and Mike Ramsey of Ponca City; brothers Clinton Adams of California and Jack Adams of Ponca City; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Dale and Lester Adams, one brother, and one great-grandchild.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2006, at 2 p.m. at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.
