Alta A. Adams was the daughter of Hayden T. Bunney and Annie Joanna Haegele. She married Fred V. Adams 18 December 1922.

Obituary:
Alta A. (Bunney) Adams, SW of Ponca City, died Thursday, April 8, 2004 at her home. She was 99.

A service will be held to celebrate her life at 2 pm Saturday, April 10, 2004 at Ranch Drive Baptist Church, (the corner of Ranch Drive and Old Highway 60), with the Rev. Larry Calvert, Pastor, Ranch Drive Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park, under the direction of the Trout Funeral Home.

Alta was born to Hayden T. and Annie J. Bunney on Dec. 8, 1904, west of Stillwater. She was the oldest of 9 children. She attended school in the Stillwater area.

She married Fred V. Adams on Dec. 18, 1922 in Perry, Okla. They lived in Payne County until moving to southwest of Ponca City in 1938 where they raised chicken, cattle and farmed. She enjoyed her family.

She is survived by three sons, Bert and Jack Adams of Ponca City and Clinton Adams of Watsonville, CA; two brothers and two sisters, 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Travis, three grandsons and four brothers.
