Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Marie Alger, age 72, of Monroe were held Wednesday, May 15th, 2 p.m., at the Old Union Baptist Church, with the Rev.'s Lester Carpenter, and Don Wright officiating. Burial followed in the Old Union Cemetery under the direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Columbia.
Mrs. Alger died Monday, May 13th, at the Riverside Nursing Home, Monroe after a long illness.
Mrs. Alger was a member of Old Union Baptist Church.
Survivors include, one son, Mr. Charles Alger, Columbia; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Evans, Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Chapman, Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Bertha Singleton, Chicago, Ill.; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
