Mr. Asa Tom Jones, father of Mrs. T. A. Chapman of 234 N. 12th St., Oakdale, La. died Sunday morning, November 21, 1942 of a heart attack.
Mr. Jones who was 64 years of age lived and worked in Clarks, Louisiana for 40 years.
His survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. T. A. Chapman, Oakdale, La., Mrs. C. A. Singleton, Kreole, Miss., Mrs. J. M. Alger, Kelly, La., one son, Ellis Jones, Clarks, La., one step-son, R. D. Morgan, Masspoint, Miss., and one step-daughter, Nettie Delaney, Clarks, La. He had only six grandchildren, three of Oakdale, one of Clarks, and two of Kelly.
The services were held in the Clarks Baptist Church, under the direction of the Riser Funeral Home.
