The funeral service for Elmer A. Chapman was held Sunday, May 27, at the Henninger-Allen Funeral Chapel, Enid, with pastor Allen Poldson officiating. Burial followed in the Paradise Cemetery, Breckinridge, OK.

The son of Avery H. and Emma (Dunn) Chapman, he was married to Georgia Gault on August 7, 1933 at Enid. They made their home at both Enid and Drummond over the years. He worked as a carpenter at Vance Air Force Base, Enid, and pastored the Drummond Assembly of God Church and the Greenwood Assembly of God Church at Lacey. They retired to Breckinridge in 1978. At the time of his death he was a member of the Central Assembly of God Church in Enid.

He is survived by one daughter, Deloris, and her husband, Emanuel Maly, of Breckinridge; one sister, Clara Thornbrough, Ponca City; one brother, Harold, of Fairfax; three grandchildren,five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters and three brothers.
