She married Charles LeRoy Garner on Dec. 21, 1937, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together, they farmed side-by-side and raised their family in the Pella area of Burley.

As a loving wife, mother and homemaker, she taught and instilled in her children the importance of hard work and the value of close family relationships. Additionally, she and Roy enjoyed hunting and fishing together. As a lifelong member of the LDS Church, Gladys served faithfully throughout her life.
