Daughter of Hugh Giles Wall and Sarah Jane Watson Wall, wife of William Julius Craven.

HARTSVILLE - Mrs. W. J. Craven, 82, of Hartsville, formerly of Marion County, died at her home on Marlboro Avenue early Monday morning, following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Brown-Pennington Funeral Home. Her pastor, the Rev. Davis M. Sanders, of the First Baptist Church will have charge. Interment will follow in Gresham.

Mrs. Craven was born in Marion County and moved to Hartsville in 1941. Before her marriage she was Annie Wall, daughter of the late Hugher and Sarah Watson Wall, pioneer citizens of Marion County. Until her health failed, she was always active in church and civic affairs.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Carl Powe of Hartsville; two sons, W. H. Craven of Bamberg and W. B. Craven of Fair Bluff, NC; one sister, Mrs. L. E. Snowden of Hemingway; three brothers, J. P. Wall of Gresham, W. F. Wall of Spartanburg and C. B. Wall of Columbia; and 5 grandchildren.
