Died at her home in Camp Point, April 13th. Mrs. Margaret McAnulty age 59 years 5 months 12 days. Born in Parrish of Altikeerugh, Co. Derry, Ireland Oct. 31, 1827, nee Margaret Purdy. Married William Neal when she was 19 years old and they came to U.S. to Summitt Hill, Carbon Co., Penn. and soon was left a widow. On Sept 7th, 1850 she married Mr. John Lees also a native of Co. Derry, Ireland. Few years later they came to Ellington Twp., Ill.. Mr. Lees died March 30, 1859 leaving her with 6 small children. Two years later she married Mr. Hiram Thompson and moved to Honey Creek.
On May 19, 1867, Mr. Thompson died leaving 2 children to her care. Oct 18, 1883 she again married to Samuel McAnulty of Camp Point who died Oct 26, 1885. She leaves 8 children, 5 daughters and 3 sons.
