Barker Rites Set Today
Services for Lewis Franklin Barker, 65, a resident of Cisco who died in a hospital ther Tuesday, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday(today) in Megargel Methodist Church. Rev. Coy Barker, minister from Montgomery, Ala. will officiate.
Born November 23, 1912 in Montague County, he was married in 1975 in Eastland to Annie Rainey. He had lived in Cisco about two years, and had lived in Megargel 25 years, prior to that time. He was a retired oil field worker, and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Rowlett of Megargel and Mrs. Barbara Jane Barker of Wichita Falls; three sons, Leroy of Bakersfield, Calif., Bobby of Fort Worth, and Louie of Euless; four sisters, Mrs. Beaulah Woodriff of Hollis, Okla., Mrs. Mayme Brown and Mrs. Ella May Keller, both of Coos Bay, Ore.;and Della Keller of Megargel, three brothers, Claude of Bowie, Ernest of Cisco, and James of Scottsbluff, Neb., seven stepchildren; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, 23 step grandchildren, and 8 step great grandchildren.
Burial will be in Megargel Cemetery, under direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
