Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral home with Scotte Clarke of Olney officiating. Burial was in the Megargel Cemetery.
She was born June 16, 1939, to Luke and Altha(Smith) Barker in Lee County, Texas. She was the second of five children and she lived in Megargel, Texas most of her life. She attended the Megargel schools and graduated in 1959. She married Carl Rowlett in December of 1962. Carl came with a ready made family of three daughters: LaDonna, Sharon and Mona. A son, "Tooter" born in 1969, made their family complete.
Bonnie and Carl raised their family in Megargel, giving them small town values. The family participated in rodeos and play days for many year. Bonnie ran the Cafe in Megarel for many years.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Carl; two daughters, LaDonna Gleghorn and Sharon Rainwater; her parents, Luke and Altha(Barker); and one brother Leroy Barker.
She is survived by her daughter Mona Gibbs and husband Chuck of Olney, Texas; a son Carl(Tooter) Rowlett of Lubbock, Texas; six grandchildren, Courtney Gibbs of Wichita Falls, Texas; Brandi Rainwater of Seymour, Texas, Matt Rainwater of Mineral Wells, Texas, Glen Gleghorn of Pampa, Texas, Joey Gleghorn of Lake Palestine, Texas; her sister, Barbara Jane Barker of Iowa Park, Texas; two brothers, Bobby Barker of Canton, Texas, and Louie Barker of Bells, Texas; 13 great grandchildren; numeroous nieces and nephews who all loved her dearly.
