Barker Rites Held Tuesday
Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bowie Church of God for Claude Barker, 72, a former resident of Megargel who died late Saturday evening in Bowie.
Barker was retired, having worked for the City of Megarge(sp), and a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include his wife Lydia; three sons, Leon of Andrews, Clarence of Olney and Glenn of Abilene; a daughter, LaVon Betts of Bowie.
Burial was in Megargel Cemetery, under direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
