Joseph Kerr was the son on of John Kerr and Elizabeth Hogsett. He shares the gravestone with their parents.

The War of 1812 Veterans Burials in Virginia by Myron Lyman, Dec 2011 draft says Joseph Kerr, 1794 - 1831 served as a Private in the 5th Virginia Militia Regiment under Col. McDowell. See National Archives records in roll box 116, record 2505. Joseph was about 18, in 1812.
