Goldie Borem, 90, Rushville, Ind., died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, 1994, in the Hillside Health Care, Rushville, Ind.

Born March 22, 1904, in Decatur County, she was the daughter of Robert and Evaline Lockridge Cheek. She marrieed Robert Borem June 21 1923, and he preceded her in death Nov. 14, 1976.

She spent the last five years at Hillside Health Care, but had lived most of her life in Rush County. She lived in Milford from 1933 to 1978. Many years ago she was a nurses aide in Greensburg, a clerk of the Hazelrigg Grocery in Milroy and had owned and operated Borem's Used Furniture in Milroy. She was a member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church.

Her survivors include four daughters, Mrs. John (Clara Mae) Lenox, Arlington, Ind.; Mrs. Harold (Eva) Adams Lafayette, Ind., Mrs. Howard (Mary) Griffin, Rushville, and Mrs. Larry (Judy) Gahimer, Milroy; a son, Robert E. Borem, Kingsport, Tenn.; a sister, Mae Hockersmith, Franklin, Ind.; 29 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren and 35 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and four brothers.

The Rev. Ron Simbro will officiate the services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Moster and Cox Mortuary, Rushville.

Burial will be in the East Hill Cemetery, Rushville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
