Alvin is the son of William Odis and Lela Grace (Bradley) Short. He married Opal Darlene (Fisher) and is the father of Russell, Royce and Tracy Short. His grandchildren at the time of his passing are: Jessica Short, Brandy Short, Sydney and Saber Short. Alvin was a life time resident of Amarillo, and served in the military in his younger years. He actually joined the Army before he was of age. He is a loving person who resembled his father so much. He passed from complication of diabietis.
