Russell short was born in Amarillo, Texas, December 13, 1960 to Alvin and Opal Short. He departed this earthly life on Monday, November 20, 2023 to be with God. He wasn't a real religious man, but he accepted believed in and knew God. He loved his chocolate milk and Hershey bars, playing darts, spending time with his friends, country music, and doing whatever he could to help. That was his love language. He loved having the reason to put on his "heels" and get dressed up. He was always late, but when it mattered, the first to arrive and the last to leave. You never knew what was going to come out of his mouth. If you should look around to see who heard or laugh. He played hard and loved harder. He was genuine. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Opal and Alvin Short, and his brother's Royce and Tracey Short. He leaves to cherish his memory Beth Hughes, Fur babies, Cocoa and Roscoe, and Michael Kirksey of North Richland Hills, his daughter, Jesseka Short (Cyrel) of Arlington. Grandsons, Brenden of Arlington and Donovan (Nicole) of Burleson, 3 granddaughters, Mariah, Amari, and Addison, all of Arlington. 4 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Stormi, Riley, and Landon. His uncle Ronnie (Lovera) of Amarillo, Texas, many cousins, nieces, a nephew, and lots of friends that became family. May his memory be a blessing to all.
