Mrs Walter Duecker, 84, died March 7, 1987 at 11:10pm in Hill Country Memorial Hospital. Her body lay in state in Beckmann Funeral Home until 9am on Tuesday, March 10, and from 9:30 to 10:30am in St Paul Lutheran Church where funeral services were held at 10:30am with the Rev Charles Ager officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs Duecker was the former Katharine (Katie) Alma Jacoby. She was born Aug 10, 1902, in Gillespie County, the daughter of Herman Jacoby and Mary Danz Jacoby. On May 5, 1920, she married Walter Duecker in Trinity Lutheran Church, Stonewall, and he preceded her in death in 1975.
