Mrs Herman Jacoby, nee Mary Danz, a lifelong resident of this county, died Friday, March 17 at 6:15 o'clock in the morning.
Born April 4, 1865, a daughter of the pioneers, Mr and Mrs Kasper Danz, she had attained the age of 73 years, 11 months and 13 days.
On October 4, 1882, she united in marriage with Herman Jacoby who proceeded her in death on July 16, 1902.
Seven children were born to this union of whom a son, Ernst died August 16, 1928.
The surviving children are Felix, Mrs. Hilmar Weiershausen, Erie and Mrs. Walter Duecker wo reside in this county; Lee Jacoby of Uvalde and Mrs. Vernon Slater of Madison Barracks, New York. Other survivors include 30 grand and 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Burg and Mrs. Emil Merz; siz brothers, Arthur, Fred, Adolf, Reinhard, Louis and Richard Danz and many other relatives and friends. A brother Frank, and three sisters Anna and Rosa Danz and Mrs. William Ellebracht preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 18, at 1:30pm in the Beckmann Funeral Home and at 2:30pm at the Stonewall Cemetery where interment was made.
Rev. Paul Leonhard conducted the services. The chair of the Albert Church sang during the services.
