HARRODSBURG — Clayton C. Crum, 88, of Harrodsburg, died Sunday at his residence. Born Aug. 20, 1910, in Monroe County, he was the son of Edward and Edna (McNeely) Crum. He was a retired supervisor and painter at Indiana University with 53 years of service. He was a member of South Washington Street Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Isabelle (Chambers) Crum; one son, Bernie Crum of Park Hills, Mo.; three daughters, Delores Helms of Hemet, Calif., Troyce Smith of Harrodsburg and Sharon Sowder of Bloomington; two brothers, Edward L. Crum and Festus Crum, both of Bloomington; two sisters, Forrest Wright and Phyllis McPike, both of Harrodsburg; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pearl (Henson) Crum, in 1933; an infant brother, Hollis Crum; one granddaughter and a great-grandson. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home with Brother L.K. Alexander officiating. Burial will be at Cloverhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.
