Edward L. Crum, 87
MARCH 20, 1918--MAY 30, 2005

Edward L. Crum, 87, passed away at the Morgan County Regional Hospital on May 30th, 2005. He was born on March 20th, 1918 in Harrodsburg, Ind., the son of Edward Sr. and Edna (McNeely) Crum.

Edward was an Army veteran of WWII, having served in the European Theatre. He retired from the Army in 1977 at the rank of Lt. Colonel. He then went to work for Indiana University, where he worked for another 18 years before again retiring. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 18 in Bloomington and of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by a son, Jack Clark of Bloomington, and St. Pete Beach, Florida; two daughters, Piccola Rose Doggett of Atlanta and Tawana Elaine Shiflet of Mitchell, Ind; sister, Forrest Wright of Harrodsburg, sister & brother-in-law Phyllis and Warren McPike, also of Harrodsburg; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Agnes (Porter) Crum (2000); and three brothers, Clayton, Festus and Infant Hollis Crum.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2nd, from 5-8 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home. Private family services will be held on Friday at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Andrew Eppard officiating. Burial will be at Cloverhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, where Military Honors will be performed.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Allen Funeral Home ia in charge of arrangements.
