ARLINE LOUISE TOWNLEY BRADEN

ArlIne Louise Townley Braden, 83, died March 4, 1995, at Canterbury House in Auburn, WA. She was born October, 15, 1911, in Weiser, Idaho, daughter of Lydia Kraus and Frank H. Townley, Sr.

She graduated from Weiser High School in 1929 and married Carl Fred Braden, also of Weiser, September 5, 1931, in Caldwell, Idaho.

The Bradens lived in Weiser until 1953, then moved to Oregon. Their next home was in Seattle. In 1957, they moved to Portland. Mrs. Braden moved to Renton two years ago.

Mrs. Braden was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1980, and a son, Carl Fred, Jr., in 1960; two brothers, Lance Townley of Boise, ID, and Frank Townley, Jr., of Weiser, ID, and a grandson, Alan Hill, Portland, OR.

She is survived by three children: Carol Hill of Maple Valley, Marilyn (Jerry) Glover of Renton, and Frank (Lynn) Braden from Peoria, AZ.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Lorna (Rick) Millward of Salt Lake City; Ronald (Calley) Braden and Carlene (Michael) Stenehjem, all of Portland, OR; Tracy (Jeff) Powelson of Lake Oswego, OR; Fred Braden of Yamhill, OR; Michael (Teresa) Fitzmorris of Aloha, OR; Carla (Donald) Wolfe and Julie (Kevin) Fulmer, all of Camano Island, WA; and Nancy (George) Woodward, Enumclaw, WA. And 23 great-grandchildren.

Rick Millward led a Celebration of Life service held on Tuesday, March 7, at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland, OR. Interment followed.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice or the American Cancer Fund.
