PORTLAND RITES HELD FOR VICTIM OF CAR MISHAP

Military services for Fred Braden, 24, former Weiser resident who died August 15 as the result of a car accident in Vancouver, B.C., were conducted in Portland on Monday.

Mr. Braden was born in southern Idaho on November 20, 1935, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Braden.

He came to Weiser with his parents when about two years old and lived here for several years. From Weiser, he went to Jordan Valley, Ore., where he graduated from high school.

He was a cement worker by trade and was in Canada on vacation when the fatal accident happened.

Surviving in addition to his parents of Portland, are a brother, Frank Braden, also of Portland; two sisters, Mrs. Carol Hill and Mrs. Marilyn Fitzmorris, both of Seattle; his grandparents, Mrs. Frank Townley and L.T. Braden, both of Weiser; and six uncles, L.C. Braden of Caldwell, Harry Braden of Payette, Earl Braden of Weiser, Willian G. Braden of Goldsboro, N.C., Pat Braden and Lance Townley of Boise.
