George Harold Senn, 74. of 102 Velo View Lane, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2001, at his redidsence.
Born in Newberry, he was the son of the late Comer and Estelle Kibler Senn.
Mr. Senn was retired from Liberty Life Corporation with 20 years of service and was a member of Ruhumah Baptist Church and the Men's Sunday School Class. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War 2, having received the Army of Occupation Medal, World War 2 Victory Medal, and the Presidential Unit Citation.
Surving are his wife, Evely Merck Senn of the home; twos sons, David Senn and his wife Sharon, and Delma Senn and his wife, Wanda, all of Pickens; two stepdaughters, Barbara Bracken and her husband, Danny, of Easley, and Joan Baker and her husband Steve, of Pickens; one stepson Donald Ferguson and his wife Krissy, of McCormick; one sister, Dorothy Vito of Arlington, Texas; six stepgrandchildren and one stepgreat-grandson; several neices and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. today, Aug. 5, 2001, at the Liberty Mortuary Chapel by the Rev. Wayne Garmon and the Rev. Dennis Petty. Burial will follow in Ruhumah Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will recieve friends today from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at Liberty Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Randy Bickley, Danny Bracken, Steve Baker, Corey Baker, Bill Fulgham, and Jimmy Kibler.
The escort of honor will be the Men's Sunday School Class of Ruhamah Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be madeto Interim Hospice, 775 Spatan Blvd., Spartanburg, SC 29301, or Ruhamah Baptist Church, 725 Ruhamah Road, Liberty, SC 29657.
