Death of Guy Blythe:
Guy Blythe, aged eleven years [12 years], died at the home of his sister, Mrs. John Whitbeck, at this place, Friday morning, August 24, at 12:30 o'clock, of dropsy of the heart. The deceased was the son of Mrs. A.J. Blythe of Parkerville, [Morris Co, KS] and has been ailing for some time. Everything possible was done for his comfort by his mother, brothers and sisters during his affliction. His remains were taken to the Parkerville Cemetery for burial. The funeral services were held at that place from the Baptist Church, and conducted by Rev. S.L. Buckner, past of the Methodist Church here.
The 1900 census lists Guy's birth place as Missouri.
