Dorothy Abend, 90, of Topeka, passed away July 17, 2009. She was born July 17, 1919 in Scranton, KS. She was the daughter of Thomas and Jane Michaels.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Abend, and 2 sisters; Wilma Cranwell and Gertrude Blackburn.
She is survived by her daughter, Carole J. Myer from Las Vegas, NV, 2 grandsons; Bradley J. Myer from Pocatello, ID, Todd R. Myer from Collinsville, OK, 2 great-grandsons; Lane and Lance Myer from Collinsville, OK, a brother Fred Michaels from Junction City, KS, a sister Lorraine Simon from Mankato, KS, and several nieces and nephews.
Inurnment, graveside services will be held on July 27, 11:00, at Penwell Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, KS.
