Gertrude Blackburn, 92, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was a retired sales clerk for J.C. Penny and a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Southwest Chapel of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 3700 Wanamaker Rd. S.W., Topeka, KS 66610. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
The family will receive visitors at 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Kansas.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Dasher and husband, Karl, of Techumseh, Kan., Jean Brewer and husband, Larry, of Dyersburg and Betty Kristinat of Topeka, Kan.; two sisters, Dorothy Abend of Topeka, Kan. and Lorraine Simon of Manikato, Kan.; a brother, Fred Michaels and wife, Lucille, of Junction City, Kan.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Blackburn; her parents, Thomas and Jane Michaels; a sister, Wilma Cranwell; and a grandson, Billy Brewer.
