LOYSVILLE - Esther M. (Clark) Adair, 87, of Loysville passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at home.
Esther was born July 30, 1921 near East Waterford to the late Hugh & Margaret McClure Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jay W. Adair and two brothers, Hugh Blair Clark and James Clark.
She was a homemaker and assisted her late husband in farming. She was a graduate of Blain Vocational High School and was a member of the Centre Presbyterian Church and the Blain Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are four children, Kay E. Campbell, Carlisle, Barbara A. Colyer and husband Wade, Lewistown, James C. Adair and wife Joann, Loysville, Kenneth J. Adair and wife Nancy, Chambersburg, two siblings, Lawrence Clark, Loysville, Helen Rohm, Blain, seven grandchildren, Daniel Campbell, Donna Berry, Jennifer Weiand, Michelle Tyson, Jeremy Adair, Dr. William Adair, Stacey Adair, five great-grandchildren, David, Kayla, Caleb, Grace and Sienna.
Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 3, 2009 in the Centre Presbyterian Church, 3912 Freeman Hollow Road, Loysville with the Rev. Arlene Dunn officiating. Burial will be in the Centre Presbyterian Cemetery. Viewing will be from 6:00 PM to 8 PM Thursday in the Nickel Funeral Home, 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville and 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday in her church.
