Shrimp was born in Juniata County on November 29, 1922, son of the late Hugh and Margaret (McClure) Clark. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Blair Clark and James Clark and two sisters, Esther Adair and Helen Rohm.
The family moved to Perry County in the spring of 1935. He was a graduate of the former Blain Vocational School Class of 1939; past president of Blain Union School Board and the Loysville Community Club; current member of the Blain Fire Company and Blain Ambulance Company. He was a lifelong member of Camp Horsehead in Sheaffer's Valley, Landisburg.
In his earlier years he was an avid baseball and softball player and was particularly well known for his fast pitch in softball. He was a self employed dairy farmer in his younger years; foreman for the PA Highway Department and retired from PPG Industries in 1985.
In the summer months he absolutely loved his gardening and was very happy to share his produce with family, friends and local churches for their annual church suppers. In the winter months he enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles, attending camp meetings, hunting, playing cards with his buddies and gathering and suppling friends and family with beautifully shelled black walnuts.
Surviving are his wife of 71 years of marriage, Edna L. (Milligan) Clark, three daughters, Linda (James) Green of Mt. Dora, FL; Loretta "Jeanie" Clark of Loysville; Cathy (David) Weibley of Mechanicsburg; two grandchildren, Megan (Michael) Aiello of Mechanicsburg, Matthew Weibley of Harrisburg, a great-grandson, Merrick Aiello, a great-granddaughter, Morgan Aiello and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday, March 18, 2016 in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church 5593 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville, Pa. 17047 with the Rev. Robert Yankovitz officiating.
Viewing will be from 10:30 AM to Noon Friday in the church. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Fellowship will follow in the church fellowship hall.
