Married Martin William Alworth 11-10-1886 at Watertown, SD. Martin & Matura moved to Mankato in 1904 & Martin returned to Watertown to live shortly after Matura's death. Martin & Matura met in Watertown, where Matura with her sister Phoebe had a shop above where Halbkat's Jewelry Store now stands. Matura was a tailoress & Phoebe a dressmaker. At that time Watertown was the terminus of the railroad & all claim settlers stocked up there before setting out to prove their claims during the land rush.
Matura & Martin had 11 children.
