Elizabeth "Betty" Minor, daughter of Samuel Minor & Lovisa Ott. The Minors were Mennonites & were among the early Loyalists from Pennsylvania, in the 1780's, settling near Morgan's Point in Welland County, Ont.
Jesse & Elizabeth lived next to Matura Hubbs Haight's farm near Sparta until 1881 when they, with their daughters, followed son Robert "Mac" to Dakota Territory. The family travelled in a covered wagon, drawn by oxen, & settled on a homestead near Castlewood, SD. They later moved to SD.
