Miss Alworth was the first woman admitted to the Bar Association in Codington County. She was a court reporter for the Eighth District U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth judicial Circuit Court in Huron and Third judicial Circuit Court in Watertown. Miss Alworth was a U.S. Commissioner for one year.
Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. John (Grace) Rider and Mrs. Margaret Edmonds, both of Pasadena, Calif.; nephews and nieces, including Mrs. Joseph (Patricia) Mahowald, Huron and Mrs. William (Evelyn) Whitman, Sioux Falls.
Funeral arrangements were announced by the Wight Funeral Home.
