Kathlyn Lynch Dies
Funeral services were held in the Byron chapel Tuesday afternoon for Kathlyn Lynch, who passed away at the Powell Memorial hospital Saturday after a lingering illness. The following program was given. The choir sang "Sometimes We'll Understand." Prayer by Fritz Winzenried. Frankie Cozzens sang "Oh May My Walk Be Close To God." Obituary was read by Nellie Vail after which W. G. Stevens gave the funeral sermon.
The closing song was "I Know My Redeemer Lives" with Joe Doty giving the closing prayer.
Kathlyn Rebecca Lynch was born at Gebo, Wyo., Dec. 29, 1915, and came to Byron with her mother when four years of age. Because of ill health she was unable to complete high school after attending grade schools. After much treatment and several operations she was able to work and had employment in Washington, D.C., Salt Lake City and other places. Her mother passed away a few months ago, and she is survived by two brothers, Cletus and Thomas, eight half brothers and three half sisters.
