HOOPER- Catherine Cox Parker, 77, wife of Edwin Parker, died Wednesday night of heart trouble at the family home.

She was born in London, England, March 23, 1856, a daughter of Levi A. and Mary Sharp Cox. She came to the United States in 1863 with her parents. They settled in Franklin Idaho and in 1867 they went to Wilson in Weber County and to Hooper in 1880.

Mrs. Parker was the first superintendent of the Hooper Religion class, assisted her father in presenting the first dramatics in Hooper, was a member of the Hooper choir and Relief society.

She was married to Mr. Parker in Salt Lake City. She was the mother of 13 children.

Surviving are her husband and the following children: Levi C., R. Parel, Leet V., Vern C., Mrs. J. R. Beus, Mrs. W. O. Belnap, all of Hooper; William C. Parker, Salt Lake; Mrs. John Russell, Roy; Mrs. F. A. Child, Ogden; Mrs. Herman Green Kanesville; 43 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Mary Fowers, Hooper; Mrs. Susan Fowers, Hooper; Levi Cox, Shelly, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held Sunday June, 18, at 2 p.m. in the Hooper chapel. Interment will be in the Hooper cemetery.
