Levi A. Cox, an aged and well known resident of Hooper, died at his home in that place yesterday afternoon from an attack of pneumonia, with which he had suffered for some time. Mr. Cox was 82 years of age and had been a resident of Hooper for more than forty years. He had occupied a position in the front rank among those who aided in building up that community and was well known throughout the county. He was also an active worker in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to which faith he was a firm believer unto the end. He leaves a large family. The funeral will be held at 12 o'clock at the Hooper meeting house Monday. Burial will be made at Hooper.

Funeral of Levi A. Cox—The Hooper ward meetinghouse was filled yesterday afternoon with relatives and friends of the late Levi A. Cox, who assembled to pay a tribute or respect to his memory, and to comfort his sorrowing family. Bishop Childs presided at the funeral services, and the ward choir furnished the music. Elders Parker, Hooper, James Beus, J.R. Beus and Bishop's counselor A. C. Christensen were the speakers. They eulogized the many years of faithful service of the deceased in the ministry in the Hooper ward, the vast amount of good he had accomplished especially among the sick and needy, and the noble example he had ever set before his large posterity. Interment took place at the Hooper cemetery.
