Funeral services for Mark L. Smith, 75, who died at the Arnold hospital on Tuesday, November 11 were held from the Methodist church in Arnold on Thursday, November 13, with Rev. E. N. Littrell officiating.
Pall bearers were Clark Andre, Russell Morton, Myron Auble and Irvin Johnson, Joe Brosius and William Brosius. Honorary pall bearers were George Hughes, Nick Brosius, Pete Mellon, A. L. Auble, P. G. Houghton and Ed Salisbury.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Victor Auble, Mrs. Ray Ricketts, Wm. Rosentrater and Don Smith, accompianied by Mrs. John Dennis.

Mark L. Smith, son of Andrew and Elizabeth Smith, was born in Assumption, Illinois on May 2, 1872 and died at the Arnold hospital on November 11, 1947 at the age of 75 years, six months and nine days.
He had made his home on Garfield Table since coming here with his parents in 1884.
He was married to Aura Fox at Garfield on February 1, 1898, and four daughters, two of whom preceded their father in death were born to this marriage.
Mr. Smith is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Bloomquist of North Platte and Mrs. Orville Rockwell of Gandy; one brother, Ike of North Platte; and three sisters, Mrs. Minnnie Dillon, Mrs. Kitty Claudson and Mrs. Lester Joy, all of Arnold.
He is also survived by two grandchildren and many other relatives.
