After Joe Gentry's death, Mary Q. (Reid) Gentry married Isaac W. Smith in 1927. I.W. Smith was a Baptist preacher. Mary and Isaac lived in Watson, Oklahoma for a number of years. In 1953 they moved to Idabel, Oklahoma where they lived in a nursing home.

MRS. MARY SMITH
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Smith was held Thursday, July 27, at 2 o'clock in the Geyer-Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Audrey officiating. Burial was in Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Loyd Cain, Jack Kesterson, Tom Brock, Lewis Gentry, Jess Parnell, and Carl Keiss.

Mrs. Smith was born June, 1880, in Birmingham, Ala. and died July 25, 1961, in Idabel, Okla. She was 81 years of age. As a young woman, she moved to Polk County and was united in marriage with Joe Gentry at Vandervoort in 1900. He preceded her in death in 1923. Later , in 1927, she was united in marriage with Rev. Isaac Smith. He preceded her in death in 1959. She lived for a number of years in Watson, Okla., and had spent the past eight years in Idabel. She was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church at Idabel.

Survivors are four sons, Henry W. Gentry of Pampa, Tex., Jack Gentry of Pueblo, Colo., Bill Gentry of Kirbyville, Tex., and Earl Gentry of Lockesburg, Ark; One granddaughter, Maudie Mae, that she reared as her own daughter; 20 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchildren.
